Privacy Policy
Version: 2026-05-02-v1
This starter privacy notice is provided for the Team Keepie Uppie game and should be reviewed before public launch.
What we collect
- Player name entered in the game.
- Email address, which is normalized and converted into a server-side HMAC hash for player matching. New submissions may also store the email address encrypted so admins can export it where needed.
- Score, team code, and team leaderboard data.
- Terms and Privacy acceptance timestamps, consent version, marketing opt-in status, IP address, and browser user agent for consent records.
Why we collect it
We use this data to run the game, identify repeat player scores, calculate leaderboards, support team sharing, keep a record of consent, and provide admin exports where needed.
Marketing opt-in
Marketing email consent is optional. Players can play without opting in. If marketing messages are enabled later, each message should include an unsubscribe method.
Retention
Leaderboard and consent records should be kept only as long as needed to operate the game and handle privacy/compliance requests. Define a retention period before public launch.
Your rights
You may contact the site owner to request access, correction, deletion, or removal from marketing communications. For older records that only contain an email hash, the site owner may need you to provide the same email address used when playing so it can be hashed and matched.
Sharing
Leaderboard information is visible to players. Server and hosting providers may process technical logs needed to operate the game. If admin email sending is enabled, Postmark may process recipient email addresses and message delivery metadata to deliver team emails.
